Mad about Mini-beasts @ Parkanaur
This week the nursery children went with their partner classes from Cookstown Nursery and Phoenix Integrated Nursery to Parkanaur on the hunt for some mini-beasts. The had a great time searching for worms, centipedes, woodlouse and ants in the forest. They listened to The Very Hungry Caterpillar before enjoying a delicious packed lunch.
Phoenix Nursery's Visit to Holy Trinity
Our friends from Phoenix Nursery came to play with us. We all enjoyed an action packed fun session with Jo Jingles. We went to Space and made music by singing, clapping and playing percussion instruments. These sessions are good for developing our language and attention and listening skills. It was great fun and very noisy!!
On Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th January, the children were involved with play swaps with two other nurseries in the area. Mrs Hughes' class visited Phoenix Nursery Unit and Mrs Devlin's class visited Mrs Mallon's class in Cookstown Nursery School. Miss McElhatton's class hosted Mrs Fleming's class from Cookstown Nursery School.
The children had a lovely morning, playing with their new friends and enjoying the new toys and activities on offer!
Shared Education @ The Wild Woods
The children from Mrs Hughes' class really enjoyed exploring the Wildwoods at An Creagan with their friends from Phoenix Integrated Nursery School. The children from Mrs Devlin's and Miss McElhatton's class also enjoyed playing in the Wildwoods with the children from Cookstown Nursery School.
They had fun climbing trees, climbing up steep banks, painting the tree house, having a tea party and toasting marshmallows at the fire pit.
